Be pleased by this delightful old part of Bergamo. Not far from Milan it lays this unique medieval town, set on top of the hill surrounded by the 1600 Venetian defensive walls. Strolling through the lovely pedestrian area we also learn a bit of the history through medieval towers, churches, chapels and palaces besides exploring family stores with traditional food, dessert and/or craftman clothings. Around noon you have free time for your own lunch after our recommendations on restaurants and very interesting local dishes. After another short walk looking for a stracciatella gelato that was invented here, we take the train back to Milan

Minimum age is 12 and maximum is 75. All travelers should have at least a good physical fitness level. Not recommended for pregnant travelers, ones with back and/or deambulation problems or heart or other serious medical conditions.

We are glad to offer suggestions, but we are not involved in transporting you from your accommodation to our meeting points. You will be responsible if you miss the established tour departure time.

W lipcowy gorący dzień wybraliśmy się na wycieczkę, mając nadzieję zobaczenia jeziora Como, przejażdżki słynnym pociągiem, pobytu pod lodowcem i spaceru w St. Moritz. Wszystkie te punkty "zaliczyliśmy" choć mam wielki niedosyt co do czasu spędzonego w tych miejscach. Opisy w "itinerary", gdzie jest mnóstwo STOP: 30, 60, 90, nawet 2h mogą wprowadzić w błąd. Wyjechaliśmy o 8 rano a powrót był parę minut po 21, większość czasu spędzona "w drodze". Oczywiście, pewnie wynika to z wielkich odległości do przebycia. Może lepiej byłoby wyruszyć o 7 rano? Opieka przewodnika była bardzo dobra, był czas na posiłek, podróż widokowym pociągiem super. Gdyby tylko w każdym z tych miejsc było trochę więcej czasu własnego...

 Verified If we could give more stars we would!! Wonderful tour
Our whole day was wonderful; Luca has crafted a wonderful itinerary to explore some great vineyards in Northern Italy. We visited a local shop and 2 vineyards, all great examples of local wine. Both vineyards are family owned and operated, our tours were given by one of the owners. We learned so much about a new (to us!) variety of wine from this region (Valtellina). Luca is a great guide, very friendly and knowledgeable about the region (he’s a local!). He also expertly manages the tour process, there was an issue with train service on the day of our tour which could have impacted our ability to get to the Valtellina area but he pivoted quickly and was able to even improve the day with a quick sightseeing stop in a small town on Lake Como (we had to transit out of Milan by private bus instead of train). 10/10 would recommend to family & friends and would book another excursion with the Luca From Italy group!

 Verified Unbelievable must do day trip!!
One of the best tours I have ever been on and with the nicest most informative tour guide Luca.. From the outset, everything was very straight forward, meeting point, transport and plan for the day ahead. Initially we worried it would have been too long a day but it flew by and just kept getting better as the hours went on 🇮🇹❤️ Before arriving in Italy Luca was very easy to get in touch with and replied to any questions via trip advisor promptly. It was my husbands 50th birthday trip and Luca could not have made it any more special. Taking us to the most beautiful parts of Varenna, lake como, vineyards, winery’s, castles, stone walls, and lunch in one of the most scenic farm house restaurants I have ever seen. And not forgetting our special treat at the end of our day from Luca with a trip to his local gelato shop for an amazing yoghurt gelato dessert❤️ He was also an excellent photographer into the bargain lol.. I would highly highly recommend this day to anyone considering to book it, as it was the highlight of our trip. The scenes I will never forget. And the facts we took home we will remember forever. This was well worth the money! Our guide, Silvia, was extraordinary. She was delightful, entertaining and very knowledgeable. Lucia was also very helpful and kind. It is a beautiful journey and lots of fun. If you have a day, choose this trip! My daughter and I loved it.

 Verified Wine tour day trip
Luca picked up the four of us at our hotel in Milan. Clean and comfortable vehicle. He’s articulate in English and well traveled so easy to converse with. Took us first to a small, family owned winery. Had a private tasting with snacks and a tour of their property. Wines were excellent and visit was personal and enjoyable. He next drove us up one of the nearby mountains for lunch at a small family owned restaurant. Views were incredible and Stefano, the owner, treated us like royalty. We were in Europe two weeks and this lunch was certainly one of the highlights of the trip. Could have spent the whole day there. Luca is obviously well connected in this valley north of Milan and is someone we would thoroughly trust to plan a day trip with.

 Verified Incredible Private Day Tours with Luca
My husband and I were most fortunate to find Luca via Trip Advisor. He coordinated with us to design three days of private tours: one in Lecco, one in and around Varenna, and one in the Valtellina region. Not only did we see top sites, but Luca was flexible in creating itineraries that included more "off the beaten track" we were interested in seeing.  Verified The most worthy one day trip one can expect!
Before I booked this tour, I read numerous online reviews, which were all positive. So I was confident about my decision to go with it. Several friends followed me and we ended up with a group of our own. Luca was our guide. We had a wonderful time. Enjoyed each moment of the trip with breathtaking views. Even though it’s a very long day, we did not feel exhausted because Luca knew how to pace each visiting site. Luca was professional, polite, knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, and just fun to be around.  Verified Best tour on our 2 week trip!!
This was an absolutely perfect tour and day. We loved every minute of it. Silvia, the tour guide, was amazing. She knows her stuff. We would have missed so much without her. The stop and lunch along the were fantastic. Alberto, our driver, was so safe and helpful. And finally, Luca, was a dream to work with. He communicated perfectly and was always very responsive.  Verified Excellent Long Day!
This trip is a perfect sight-seeing tour if you're short on time but don't want to miss the major sites in Northern Italy. It was a long day and the stops were relatively brief but it was well organized and Silvia our guide was excellent. She was personable, funny and her English skills were fantastic. If you are looking for a relaxed tour with a lot of time to wander and contemplate the landscape around Lake Como this probably isn't the tour for you. However packing as much as we did into one day, I felt that the time allotted for each stop was just right. We had a short walking tour along Lake Como, stopped at a winery for a quick tasting, and had just the right amount of time in St Mortiz to buy souvenirs at the recommended chocolate shop. In Tirano lunch was quick, but Silvia recommended a great place to have the local specialty for lunch (try it! It's not pretty but is delicious). Once we got on the train Silvia found us a mostly empty car and her guidance in which side to run to for the best view was much appreciated.

 Verified Exceptional Tour by a Professional Tour Group - highly recommend
Fantastic tour, one of the best I have done whilst touring Europe. Silvia, our guide was incredible, including Flavio, the driver, they made this tour exceptional for our group. I must also thank Luca, his communication throughout the whole process was excellent, this tour was worth paying a little more for it as it felt personable with a smaller group which made our experience even better. The most stunning views and scenery in every direction, we just loved everything about this tour.
